Yesterday’s Gathering

We had an abundant harvest yesterday.  We ended up with two cups of wild rose petals, two cups of mint, half a pound of dock leaves, two pounds of poke, four pounds of plantain leaves, and 26 eggs.  All gathered up less time than an afternoon nap for the children.

The rose petals and mint are on their way to being jelly.  The poke went to the freezer for later, we had the dock for supper, and the plantain is hanging in the shed to dry before it gets turned into salves.
